Jan-Jaap Poot - Black Sun Rising

Meet Jan-Jaap Poot. He was born and raised right here in Rotterdam. In 2011 he graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy. His passion for drawing began at a young age, which was sparked by his almost obsessive love for comic books.

He is currently exploring a more abstract and minimalistic style in his paintings. Jan-Jaap Poot is inspired by Dutch masters like M.C. Escher, Jan Schoonhoven and the iconic group 'De Stijl'.
